I am Sahar, a Toronto-based creative type, visual storyteller, and aesthetics lover.
To say I like design is an understatement: I am obsessed with it. I seek creative and effective ways to harmonize design and meaning in order to create a spellbinding visual narrative.
Professionally, I have been a creative director, graphic designer, production editor, photographer, media specialist, UI/UX developer and more.
I graduated from the University of Toronto Scarborough having studied New Media, Studio Photography, and English Literature along with a Centennial College Certificate for New Media studies. New Media enabled me to thoroughly understand web integration, front-end development, project management, and usability. Taking all of this into account alongside my passion for arts, I began explicitly focusing on graphic designing and creative direction.
When I’m not working, I like to spend my free time experimenting with photography and hand lettering, watercolour painting, exploring downtown Toronto and travelling whenever possible, watching foreign films, and nesting at a cozy café.
The name Cinderullah was coined by my friends during high school, a pun based off the fairy-tale Cinderella, as a reflection of my busy-body personality (and constant need for neatness and organization).
Besides my personal blog and portfolio, my other passion project is participating in Otium Girls, a blog curated by my sisters and myself dedicated to our lives in Toronto and our interests in entertainment and fashion.
